Chelsea Handler to host MTV VMA 2010

It has been revealed that Chelsea Handler is bringing her late-night launch to primetime Handler and she is going to host the MTV Video Music Awards. The comedienne announced about this, on her talk show, 'Chelsea Lately' on Wednesday.

She also said that every time rap music and hip-hop is thought and talked about, everyone thinks about 'Chelsea Lately". This is perhaps one of the reasons why she would be hosting the show. Chelsea seems to be confident about her hosting the show with panache.

Handler will be hosting year"s Video Music Awards show. This show would be aired live from Los Angeles on the 12th of September 12 at 9 p.m. ET.

This would be the first ever time that this L.A.-based star will host the event which is very popular among the music community. It would be attended by celebrities like Lady Gaga, Eminem, Katy Perry, Drake and Usher. They all stand a chance to win a Moonman Trophy.There"s a host of performers already to hit the stage are Kanye West, B.O.B, Florence and the Machine and, Justin Bieber.

The VMA this year promises to be quite amazing, with these performers and nominees. Chelsea Handler “handling" the entire show would also add that additional zing to the entire event.
