Radio One launches Play Your Music Day

The music director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is going to launch the 'Play Your Music Day" on 94.3 FM, which has opened the door for music lovers to choose their favorite songs. The channel has taken a pioneering step in the history of FM channels.

Starting with the channel"s brand ambassadors Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, 94.3 FM will play live 13 songs by them, which is again a first-time venture in case of FM stations. Later, total 1,000 singers will be selected from seven cities, who will be called to the stations to play their chosen songs.

The anthem of 94.3 Radio One, which is again composed and performed by the trio, calls up the listeners very passionately saying, “Aao Apna Gaana Bajao".

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy added, “The essence of the anthem is that everyone has a favorite song, which defines them. They love to dance to and wake up with that. So, everyone gets a chance to open up themselves to the world through the songs they love".

Moreover, these 1,000 lucky listeners will get the chance of sharing music space with renowned musicians, cricketers and film stars. These celebrities will also play their favorite music.

The 'Play Your Music Day" will start on July 23 from 8 am to 9 pm. It will include some interesting contests and lucky winners will receive exciting prizes.

Managing Director 94.3 Radio One, Vineet Singh Hukmani, said, “In 94.3 FM, we will come up with such new ventures in the music space both on air and off air. We will engage listeners and artists in a way, which was never tried earlier. Be it film music or other kind of music, we value them all in the same scale".

This step of playing 13 songs per hour is the maximum number played by any radio station, which plays on an average less than 9 songs per hour.
