in

Directorate
confiscated
Adnan
Sami"s
properties
in
December
2010,
alleging
that
he
has
acquired
immovable
assets
in
India
without
the
permission
of
Reserve
Bank
of
India.
The
Enforcement
Directorate
alleged
that
he
has
violated
Foreign
Exchange
Management
(acquisition
and
transfer
of
immovable
property
in
India)
Regulations,
2000,
as
he
is
a
Pakistani
national.
Adnan
is
a
Pakistani
origin,
born
and
brought
up
in
London.
Indian
legendary
singer
Asha
Bhosle
spotted
the
10-year-old
boy
at
an
RD
Burman
concert
and
encouraged
him
to
take
up
music
career.
He
later
took
singing
lessons
from
Pandit
Shivkumar
Sharma.
