Kiran Rao finds nothing wrong in DK Bose lyrics

By Kalyani Prasad Keshri

Director Kiran Rao launches the song 'Switty Tera Pyaar Chaida', featuring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunal Rao, from the film Delhi Belly. During the promotions of the film, when the writer-director was asked about the negative waves that the DK Bose song has created, she instantly reverted, "I don't think there is anything wrong with the song."

She added, “It has funny lyrics; it is a fun song about a person called DK Bose. He is a loser whining about everything around him. It is just a funny take on life. How can anybody have problem with it?"

Moving on to point at Ra.One director Anubhav Sinha's over reaction on the lyrics of the super hit song, Kiran told, “But still if someone has a problem, just don't listen to the song. I think the songs in our Hindi films are a reflection of the present. Of the way we think, speak and the words we use. That's perhaps why more and more songs nowadays have bolder lyrics. Yesteryear poetry has taken a backseat."

The new song 'Switty Tera Pyaar Chaida' is written by Munna Dhiman and sung by Keerthi Sagathia. The music of the song is composed by Ram Sampath. The very base style of this promotional song is rapping. "I had great fun while shooting the song. While directing the song, I realized that it is every guy's dream to be a rapper and I feel all three of them have done a fantastic job. I would really like to see Aamir dancing like Imran, wearing a lot of chains and rings and dancing like a rapper."

Kiran, as a director was quite impressed by Imran and praised his dancing style to heavens. Delhi Belly, which is directed by Abhinay Deo, is slated for a July 1 release.
