fame
has
said
that
the
music
of
Bollywood
has
lost
its
flavour
these
days.
Its
approach
to
appeal
the
global
audience
is
the
prime
reason
behind
its
losing
identity.
"Bollywood
does
not
have
identity
for
its
music.
It
has
become
more
global
with
a
pinch
of
pop,
jazz
and
rock.
In
movies
like
Rock
On,
there
was
a
rock
kind
of
music,
Jaane
Tu
Ya
Jaane
Na
had
this
jazz
feel," the
PTI
quoted
the
music
director
as
saying.
In
the
recent
times,
the
only
movies,
which
had
the
Indian
brand
of
music
was
in
Dabangg's
item
number
'munni
badnaam
hui...',
and
a
few
other
films
like
Action
Replayy
and
Once
Upon
A
Time
in
Mumbai,
claims
the
musician.
Recalling
Bollywood's
unique
style,
he
further
adds
that
the
Hindi
film
industry
had
its
flavour
till
1990.
Since
then,
it
has
been
going
through
a
changing
phase.
However,
talking
about
his
own
style,
Shamir
Tandon
says
that
he
has
been
getting
films
like
Ragini
MMS,
Traffic
Signal
etc.,
which
demand
something
different
from
the
regular
kind
of
music.
