Singer Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha Bhosle commits suicide

Famous singer Asha Bhosle's daughter Varsha Bhosle commited suicide today by shooting herself with a gun in the head.

According to reports, Varsha Bhosle commited suicide with a gun but it has not been revealed that from where she obtained the weapon. When Varsha was taken to the hospital, she was declared dead. She shot herself at Asha Bhosle's residence 'Prabhu Kunj' situated in Peddar Road. It is the same building where Asha Bhosle's sister, singer Lata Mangeshkar also lives.

Varsha was 55 years of age and has worked as a freelance journalist in the past. She got married to freelance sports writer Hemant Kenkre but later they divorced each other.

It has been reported that Varsha was in depression from a long time. In 2008, Varsha Bhosle had attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills, but had been rushed to hospital and was subsequently saved.
