Asha Bhosle's granddaughter makes her singing debut

Asha Bhosle is one of the most popular singers of India. Now, her 10-year-old granddaughter Zanaya, who has been taking music lessons under her granny right from age four, is all set to carry forward her legacy. She has rendered her voice for Shamir Tandon composed song 'Salaami Ho Jaaye'.

'Salaami Ho Jaaye' is on anti-piracy. Asha Bhosle insisted her granddaughter Zanaya to sing this song. Talking to an English daily, Zanaya says that she loves music and she has been learning music from her gurus and from her granny Asha Aai. She adds that recording with Shamir uncle was fun and he is kind and she felt very comfortable.

Along with Zanaya, 'Salaami Ho Jaaye' also features Sonu Nigam, Mohit Chauhan, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Kailash Kher and Sunidhi Chauhan. Talking about her, Asha Bhosale says that she foresees Zanaya carrying her family's musical legacy forward and keeping our music's rich traditions alive for future generations.
