London (ANI): Days after she missed out on the Mercury Prize, Amy Winehouse has bagged the best female UK artist prize at both the MOBO awards and Vodafone Live Music Awards held on Sept 19.

At the MOBO awards, the soul star beat the likes of artists like Jamelia and Joss Stone to pick up the award. Winehouse was up for awards in four categories in total- best UK female, best R & B act, best song for 'Rehab" and best video for 'Back to Black".

She also performed her numbers 'Tears Dry On Their Own" and 'Me" and 'Mrs Jones". Mod legend Paul Weller lavished praises on her and called her a role model for youngsters. Weller also said Winehouse"s drugs and alcohol woes don"t matter because she is talented. "One of my favourite all-time singers is Amy Winehouse, I've been lucky enough to work with her. She is an amazing, great talent and despite what all the papers say she is a great role model for people," the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying.

"I don't think the drugs and the drink and all that make a scrap of difference, really. I think you should judge people on their talent and on that level she's up there, a major talent," he added. At the event Rihanna won the Best International Act for 'Umbrella". Rapper Kanye West bagged Best Video and Best Hip Hop Act beating rival 50 Cent.
