Ashlee's dad, lover saved the day

New York (ANI): Ashlee Simpson's dad, Joe Simpson, and her rocker boyfriend, Pete Wentz, teamed up to defend the pop singer against a bodyguard in Decaydance/GQ party at the Mirage's Jet nightspot. The fight occurred when father, daughter and Wentz were trying to leave the place. Bouncers at the club were willing to let Ashlee, Joe and Pete go but blocked the way of the Simpson entourage, which included the Gym Class Heroes MC, Marc DeJesus.

The fist- fest erupted once the tempers went high and one guard pushed Wentz, and banging Ashlee against a wall. Wentz rushed to help Ashlee and flooded punches on the body guards along with Joe Simpson. "When somebody messes with my baby, then it's over!" NY Daily quoted Joe, as saying. Fortunately the episode did not result in serious injuries the Simpson-Wentz group managed to leave.

Wentz spat on the wall of the club, which seemed that he promised not to set his foot inside the club again. Joe suggested that the bouncers are "just mad they make 12 dollars an hour."
