London (ANI): Beyonce Knowles is treating music lovers with something different by foraying into a new album of country and western songs. And to make sure that her experiment is successful, the Bootylicious singer has enlisted the help of award winning singer/songwriter Amanda Ghost, the mind behind James Blunt"s smash hit You"re Beautiful, for the project.

The 'Naughty Girl" singer decided to tackle the idea head on after testing out her new sound by singing a surprise country version of her hit Irreplaceable at the American Music Awards in LA last weekend. The former Destiny"s Child star performed the reworked song with US country duo Sugarland.

“Beyonce wants to try something completely different. She"s a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go," The Sun quoted a source, as saying. “She tested the water at the American Music Awards and she is up for it. She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it," the source added.

Apart from penning Blunt"s hit single, Ghost also wrote Beyonce and Shakira"s recent charttopper Beautiful Liar. She also helped American Idol winner Jordin Sparks score a hit in the US charts with the single Tattoo.
