Britney strips down to lingerie

Britney Spears has been showing the world that she can wear underwear - by skipping around a beach in nothing but lingerie.

The 25-year-old singer has been slammed over recent months for her outrageous behaviour and partying without any knickers on, but the pop star decided to strip down to a bra and panties to caper around on a Malibu beach recently to show she is on the road to recovery.

Instead of looking ill and troubled, Britney looked tanned and toned in the sea with friend Lucky Walsh, during the spontaneous dip in the ocean.

An onlooker told a British magazine, "Britney just yanked all of her clothes off and jumped in the sea. It was a very hot day and I imagine she wanted to cool down. She looked in fantastic shape. At one stage she even gave a sneaky peek of her bottom."

However, the near-see through bra and knickers did not enhance Britney's reputation as a girl who likes to cover her modesty.

Meanwhile, Britney Spears is getting serious about her comeback, as she's shooting a top-secret video in Los Angeles. The singer has reportedly sworn her aides, friends and backing dancers to secrecy about the project, but word has spread that the video will be for new song "Get Back."

Spears launched a mini-comeback in May when she toured House of Blues venues with a puzzling series of 15-minute lip-synced concerts.

The new video will be the first Spears has shot for two years.
