Washington
(ANI):
It
seems
that
Britney
Spears" brand
new
"Gimme
More"
video
has
failed
to
get
the
singer
some
relief.
The
pole
dancing
video,
which
premiered
on
MTV
on
Oct
5,
has
been
severely
panned
both
by
the
critics
and
the
public.
The
"Gimme
More"
video,
from
the
singer"s
upcoming
album,
Blackout,
to
be
released
Nov.
13,
shows
a
blond
Britney
Spears
sitting
at
a
bar
with
friends,
watching
a
black-haired
Britney
Spears
writhing
around
a
stripper"s
pole.
"Our
analysis:
Looks
like
it
was
shot
in
one
take
on
the
cheap
and
then
gussied
up
with
a
bit
of
cutting
and
camera
work.
There's
no
real
choreography
(just
a
bit
of
dancing
near
a
pole)
and
all
the
smoke
and
mirrors
–
literally
and
figuratively
–
made
us
nauseous,"
People
quoted
Rolling
Stone,
as
stating
on
its
Web
site.
Entertainment
Weekly
complained:
"I've
seen
sexier
pole
work
during
an
afternoon
of
fly-fishing."
However,
there"s
some
good
news,
for
the
video
is
being
considered
an
improvement
from
her
disappointing
performance
at
the
MTV
Video
Music
Awards.
"It
looked
a
little
more
energetic
than
the
VMA
performance
and
she
didn't
look
as
scared
or
as
freaked
out.
But
we
just
expect
so
much
more
and
it's
like,
'Oh,
girl.
Please
just
do
something
different.
Come
on,"
said
JJ
Kincaid,
afternoon
DJ
at
Z100
in
New
York.
