Britney Spears to star in a sitcom

Washington, (ANI): It seems that Britney Spears is the hot favourite for playing a role in a new sitcom opposite 'Friends" star Matthew Perry. Perry plays a businessman who asks a girl to pretend to be his wife to give his career a boost.

According to reports, NBC TV network heads want Spears to play the girl"s role. A TV source said that Spears has the appeal that connects with the audience. "There's something about her that just connects with the audience," Contactmusic quoted the source, as saying.
