London
(ANI):
Sir
Elton
John
couldn"t
help
joking
that
he
would
probably
end
up
dead
from
'uranium
poisoning" after
meeting
Madonna
at
the
annual
GQ
magazine"s
awards
in
London.
Sir
Elton,
who
accused
Madonna
of
miming
when
she"s
on
tour,
publicly
buried
the
hatched
with
Madonna
by
apologising
to
her
on
stage
as
he
played
host
for
the
ceremony
at
the
Royal
Opera
House.
The
singer
had
made
the
remark
last
year,
causing
a
furious
Madonna
to
return
Christmas
card
he
had
sent.
But
when
Madonna
appeared
on
stage
to
present
the
Inspiration
award
to
her
friend,
the
interior
designer
David
Collins,
Sir
Elton
told
guests
that
he
had
asked
the
singer
to
forgive
him
for
his
remark.
“I
did
offer
a
grovelling
apology
and
even
offered
to
join
Kabbalah.
Madonna
is
a
great
inspiration
to
us
all,"
The
Sun
quoted
him,
as
saying.
“Every
record
moves
on
and
she
steps
up
to
the
mark
every
time,"
he
added.
However,
as
Madonna
left
the
stage,
the
multi-Grammy
Award
winner
could
help
quipping:
“I"ll
be
found
dead
of
uranium
poisoning
in
three
days."
The
legendary
singer
paid
tribute
to
charity
fundraiser
Jane
Tomlinson
by
dedicating
a
song
and
calling
her
a
“real
hero."
The
singer
spoke
about
his
admiration
and
respect
for
Tomlinson
at
his
sell-out
concert
at
London"s
O2
Arena
recently.
An
emotional
Sir
Elton
hushed
the
crowd,
and
praised
the
mum
of
three
who
died
of
cancer
at
43
on
Sep
3.“This
song
is
for
real
heroes
and
tonight
I"m
dedicating
it
to
Jane
Tomlinson
—
a
real
hero,"
The
Sun
quoted
him,
as
telling
the
crowd.
The
O2
Arena
audience
commended
the
life
of
the
woman
whose
athletic
feats
raised
1.75
million
pounds.
