Gwen
Stefani
preferred
make-up
to
toys
as
a
child.
The
'Rich
Girl'
singer
used
to
raid
her
friends'
mother's
make-up
boxes
at
every
opportunity
and
loved
experimenting
with
cosmetics.
Gwen
told
TV
Hits
magazine:
"I
was
always
the
girl
who,
after
school
every
day,
would
say,
'Ask
your
mom
if
we
can
play
with
her
make-up!
And
then
we'd
do
that
for
about
four
hours!
"I
would
burn
everybody
with
the
curling
iron,
I'd
do
make-overs
on
everyone.
"I
was
a
make-up
artist
in
a
mall
when
I
was
17
so
it's
always
something
I've
been
into."
Mother-of-one
Gwen
insists
she
rarely
goes
out
without
make-up
and
doesn't
care
what
people
think
about
her
obsession.
The
37-year-old
star
-
who
is
married
to
British
rocker
Gavin
Rossdale
-
said:
"Everyone
has
criticised
me
for
wearing
too
much
make-up
but
I've
also
made
a
career
out
of
it!
"My
make-up
must
have
is
my
lipstick.
It's
what
my
husband
likes
me
in
and
I
definitely
try
to
please
him!"
