Jamelia blames women for the split with Darren Byfield

Washington (ANI): Singer Jamelia has revealed that she split from her soccer star boyfriend Darren Byfield because she hated the attention he received from other women. The 'Superstar" hitmaker, who has a 20-month-old daughter Tiani with Darren, said that she was fed-up of other women wooing her man. "I got more and more p**sed off at all the women in clubs who threw themselves at Darren. In the end it was just too much and our relationship suffered," Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.

The split came after Jamelia left Byfield"s luxurious home in Kent earlier this month and moved back to her family in Birmingham with her children. "It's over and they are devastated. They tried to make it work but the romance fizzled out. She simply hasn't been happy since rumours of Darren cheating emerged, but has always believed he is innocent," a source told the Mirror. A spokesman for the couple said that the split was amicable. "Jamelia and Darren have sadly parted but it is an amicable split," the spokesman said.
