Sharon Osbourne unintentionally proved to be a jackpot for a taxi driver after she accidentally left her jewellery, worth 800,000 dollars, in his car.

According to her brother David, the reality show X-Factor judge misplaced the precious jewels after an argument with the driver and failed to claim them back.

"Sharon was on tour in America with Electric Light Orchestra and got involved in a row with a taxi driver. Then she just stormed out of the car leaving behind all those gems in a briefcase," Contactmusic quoted David, as saying.

"After realising what she'd done she tried to find the guy, with no luck. She told my dad it was all insured anyway. A week later, when she'd forgotten all about it, we asked how she'd got on with the insurance company. She said, 'Yes I must do that...'" he added.

David further said that the present worth of the lost property would have been around 4 million dollars.

"I don't think we ever saw that money again. And that was the equivalent of 2 million pounds today," he said.
