Washington (ANI): Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee has apologised to Alicia Keys for fighting with Kid Rock during her performance in MTV Video Music Awards performance on Sept 9, 2007. The Motley Crue drummer, who was plunged to sit still at the Palms in Las Vegas after the incident, revealed on his website posting a message that he was not the one to start the fight. He insisted that he was the innocent party in the incident and was just chilling out with pals Criss Angel, Travis Barker and Diddy.

"I get a tap on the shoulder from Kid Pebble. I stand up and embrace him with a semi hug and say, 'Hey dude, what up?' He punches me in the face... Well if ya wanna call it that!?... (It was) more like a bitch slap!... Wuss," Contactmusic quoted Lee, as writing. Lee called Kid Rock a "jealous country bumpkin" and apologised to Keys. "I apologise sweetie... I had nothing to do with the timing and disrespect," Lee wrote.
