London (ANI): British fans of Carla Bruni stormed into music stores to grab the first copy of her CD after she gave a live performance on television. Appearing on 'Later with Jools Holland' on September 16, the French First Lady was viewed by nearly one million spectators who glued themselves to BBC2 to see the supermodel take the stage.

"Our store managers say they have been seeing a lot more people coming in asking about her album," The Sun quoted music giant HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo, as saying. Follwing her appearance, the 40-year-old's fan following has jumped in numbers increasing the sales of her album, including the Internet sales of 'Comme si de rien n'etait' (As if nothing had happened).
