Cheryl Cole wants to go solo

London (ANI): 'Girls Aloud' band member Cheryl Cole seems to be the latest from the group getting ready to go solo. Cole has been secretly plotting her solo pop assault with top producer T2, who recently hit No2 with single Heartbroken. According to reports, the two have synchronised their diaries to fit in studio time to work on her material.

"Cheryl and T2 have been in discussions about her solo material. He is the man of the moment, with a lot of pop acts clamouring for his expertise on collaborations," the Sun quoted a source as saying. The feisty star is so set on making it on her own that she went ahead by herself, when T2 postponed recording dates with her in favour of sessions with former Mis-Teeq star Alesha Dixon.

"He told her she would have to hold on a bit longer because he had commitments with Alesha - which went down like a lead balloon," the source said. "Cheryl is keen to get cracking on new material and didn't want to play second fiddle to anyone else," the source added.

It would seem like everyone of the band's members are trying to do something on their own, with Sarah Harding also having gone for a solo trial last year with Faithless mastermind Rollo and Nadine Coyle advertising herself as being available for acting work
