Coldplay eyeing Simon Cowell gig cameo

Washington (ANI): Members of the band 'Coldplay' are persuading media mogul Simon Cowell to make a guest appearance on their tour' and criticize their performance. The band members are a huge fan of the American Idol judge and love his mocking remarks. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin is hoping to convince Cowell to record a video segment for their upcoming concerts.

"I've never met Simon, but I keep wanting him to do a bit in our concert next year. At the end of one song I want him to come on screen and say, 'That was absolutely terrible'. I think he'd be up for it. But now I've given away a surprise," Contactmusic quoted Chris Martin, as saying.

Meanwhile, Martin was also in news for clearing the fact that his band is not going to split.
