The show is similar to the last 'Wham!' concert 'The Final' that was held at the Wembley Stadium with Andrew Ridgeley in 1986. His 25 Live Tour had begun in Barcelona in 2006, and it has so far played to more than 1.3 million fans across Europe. "These very special shows will naturally feature Michael's hits, some tracks not previously performed in Britain, and a stunning new stage set," BBC quoted a statement on his website as saying.
"These shows are truly not to be missed by any George Michael fan. As it will be featuring a stunning new stage set," the statement added. The shows will be marking Michael's retirement from touring, though he may still play special one-off concerts and charity events in the future. He has sold over 100 million records worldwide and achieved seven US number one singles, 11 number one UK singles and six number one albums.
