Washington
(ANI):
Jamie
Lynn
Spears,
the
17-year-old
who
gave
birth
to
daughter
Maddie
Briann
Aldridge
three
months
ago,
is
not
pregnant,
a
pal
has
said.
The
'National
Enquirer'
reported
that
Jamie
was
expecting
again
and
had
her
friends
begging
her
to
abort.
However,
a
very
close
Spears
family
friend
sacked
the
alleged
reports
claiming
them
to
be
untrue.
"I
was
with
Lynne
[Spears]
all
day
today
and
she
thinks
it's
totally
ridiculous," Fox
News
quoted
the
source
as
telling
Tarts.
"I
can
tell
you
that
the
pregnancy
rumour
is
just
that
-
a
rumour.
There
is
no
truth
to
it
at
all,"
the
source
added.
The
teen
actress' rep
has
further
denied
the
speculation.
However,
the
news
of
Jamie
Lynn
expecting
her
first
child
was
broken
by
the
Enquirer,
which
was
later
threatened
with
legal
consequences
by
her
lawyer.
In
a
letter
to
the
publication,
her
attorney
had
claimed:
"Ms.
Spears
is
not
pregnant.
"It
is
pathetic
for
the
National
Enquirer
to
attempt
to
create
a
wholly
baseless
'rumour'
that
Ms.
Spears
is
pregnant,
so
it
can
run
a
malicious
story
and
false
story
which
would
be
emotionally
devastating
to
a
morally
upright
16-year-old
girl."
The
teen
mum
had
later
confirmed
to
'OK!'
magazine
that
she
would
soon
be
a
mother.
Interestingly,
her
elder
sister
Britney
also
delivered
her
two
boys
Sean
Preston
and
Jayden
James
almost
exactly
one
year
apart.
However,
Jamie
Lynn's
legal
team
is
yet
to
issue
a
statement
on
the
matter.
