Jessica Simpson breaks up with Tony Romo

New York (ANI): American pop singer Jessica Simpson has reportedly split with her quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo. According to a report in TMZ.com, the couple, who have been dating since November 2007, have quietly parted their ways. An Us Weekly spy overheard Romo as telling his friends that he was single again, and it was that same night that Simpson was spotted on a drinking binge with her pals, reports the New York Daily News.

While they were still seeing each other, Simpson had publicly spoken about her Dallas Cowboys quarterback beau, telling Glamour magazine in its June issue that Romo is her "future husband." As for Romo, a close friend of his told Us Weekly in February that he thinks the two will wed.

When they were still a couple, Simpson was blamed for her boyfriend's poor performance during a Cowboys playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles in January. Romo was later taunted by his fans, who waved pictures of the pop singer during a Giants game, which the Cowboys lost.

However, Simpson's publicist has insisted that she and Romo are still on.
