Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has said that he can not endorse the proposed Led Zeppelin star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Northern California producer Rocky Dickerson, who started the campaign, requested for written approval from band Led Zeppelin members and management to go ahead with the Hollywood nomination.

It is said that Rocky Page's publicist has written a letter to Dickerson stating that he thanked him for his interest but refused to endorse the star campaign stating, "He does not feel that this is something that he can endorse."

According to Dickerson, he has launched the star campaign after attending the Led Zeppelin reunion performance for the Ahmet ErtegÜn Tribute Concert in London last year. His only motive behind the campaign is to make this a totally fan-driven thing. He doesn't expect anything from any corporate entity, or anything from Led Zeppelin. He wants to immortalize Led Zeppelin band.
