Singer LeToya Luckett to make film debut

Washington (ANI): Former Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett is all set to make her feature film debut in an adaptation of her hit gospel musical, 'Preacher's Kid'. In the film, Luckett plays the title role of the young daughter of a widowed preacher who runs off with a young actor, reports Contactmusic.

Studio bosses at Warner Premiere have set a late summer (09) theatrical release for the film.Luckett was a founding member of the R&B female group, with whom she won two Grammy Awards and released many successful commercial recordings.

She later was unexpectedly replaced by Michelle Williams.
