Madonna's handbag auctioned for $500,000

Washington (ANI): Queen of pop Madonna's Chanel handbag raked in almost 500,000 dollars at a charity auction at the Cannes Film Festival. The 49-year-old pop star's black alligator-skin diamond bag was sold to a mystery buyer for a whooping 471,000 dollars, making it more valuable than even a smooch with Hollywood icon George Clooney that was sold for 300,000 dollars, reports Contactmusic.

Actress Sharon Stone donated 100,000 dollars as personal donation and auctioned her own vintage Porsche 911 Targa for 810,00 dollars (GBP405,000). The event hosted by the 'Material Girl' herself managed to fetch 10 million dollars for amfAR's life-saving Aids research programs.

Meanwhile, Madonna has welcomed the process of ageing, insisting that she is becoming more attractive with age. As the singer is all set to enter 50s, she is feeling fitter, more toned and more attractive than ever.
