"I'm not getting a divorce, or having an affair"- Madonna

Washington (ANI): Music icon Madonna insists she isn't planning to divorce her husband of seven years Guy Ritchie, or that she's having an affair with Yankee baseball star Alex Rodriguez. In a statement to People magazine, Madonna said that she was also not responsible for Rodriguez taking to her religion Kabbalah.

"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce. I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study," she said.

"I have learned over the years not to take accusations and the many false reports about me very seriously. "I also appreciate how fiction and fact seem to be perceived as one and the same by people who read both newspapers and the Internet," she added.

Madonna's statement comes even as Rodriguez's estranged wife Cynthia has decided to file for divorce citing his "relationship" with the singer as the reason. One of Cynthia's lawyers, Maurice Kutner, told The Post Sunday night that A-Rod's "relationship with Madonna was the latest situation in a series of events" that doomed the marriage.
