Madonna's Sticky & Sweet tour tops US jaunt of 2008

London (ANI): Pop singer Madonna has topped the big earner's poll with her 'Sticky and Sweet' world tour raking in the highest-grossing amount in a US jaunt of 2008. According to Pollstar magazine, the Queen of Pop's string of concerts in North America roped in 72 million pounds.

The 'Material Girl' pipped Canadian pop legend Celine Dion, who followed her to the second spot earning 65 million pounds on her first U.S. tour since her five-year residency in Las Vegas.

Rock band The Eagles grabbed the third spot with more than 50 million pounds for their performances, reports the Daily Express.

Making up the top five highest-grossing tours of the U.S. in 2008 was country singer Kenny Chesney with 49 million pounds followed by rocker Bon Jovi earning 48 million pounds.
