Natalie joins PETA campaign

London (ANI): Singer Natalie Imbruglia has followed in the footsteps of Sarah Jessica Parker and joined the PETA anti-fur bandwagon. The 'Torn' hitmaker has taken her time to wave the 'save the animals' flag alongside Pink and Jamie-Lee Curtis. Three years ago, the singer had publicly slammed Jennifer Lopez for wearing fur.

In that interview with Britain's Cosmopolitan, Imbruglia said she would never wear fur and condemned Lopez for doing so. Now, it seems she has remained true to her words, that's what her new anti-fur campaign's two-page statement in which she goes into detail about 'tortuous' methods used to kill animals suggests.

Imbruglia has posed with a cute furry rabbit for the campaign, which was shot in London. A PETA spokeswoman revealed Imbruglia was 'so excited' about joining the campaign that she pushed to do a live launch but it coincided with the recording of her new album, reports The Daily Telegraph.

This is not the first activist's hat she has tried; she gave her support to the Virgin Foundation and the United Nations Population Fund.
