Cannon raced Carey up the aisle 'to avoid questions''

Washington (ANI): American rapper Nick Cannon revealed that he rushed singer Mariah Carey to the altar in order to avoid answering questions. The marriage between Cannon and Carey took place after just a short period of courtship, reason being that the rapper did not want his friends and family to bombard the couple with pre-wedding questions.

Their romance had been on for just six weeks before they tied the knot, and Cannon admitted that he did not want to hear from family and friends who thought the wedding was premature.

"We really kept the whole relationship aspect of it quiet... because that would have been not quiet or private (sic)," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. "I think we didn''t want to give people a chance to be like, ''What are you doing? What are you talking about? This is so quick. Are you sure?''" he added.
