New York (ANI): Former British tabloid editor Piers Morgan, who played cupid between Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, has confessed that he will always be sorry for introducing the ex-couple to each other. While speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius radio show, the "America's Got Talent" judge said that he regrets introducing Mills to the ex-Beatle.

"Paul asked who she was after seeing her give a speech. I introduced them. I'm not sure if Paul knew that she was missing a leg at the time," The New York Post quoted Morgan, as saying. He also said that he never thought in his wildest of dreams that Mills would turn out to be a "grasping, gold-digging little bimbo . . .". I was fooled into thinking that she was a good person. She ended up costing Paul 50 million dollars," he said laughing.

He also ripped fellow "America's Got Talent" judge David Hasselhoff, calling him a "tool." Morgan said that being grilled by Stern for over an hour was the "highlight" of his career. "I can die a happy man now," he said. "I've met Nelson Mandela, Princess Di, Queen Elizabeth II and Tony Blair, but this was the biggest honour," he said.
