Robbie's drug phase made him think of stabbing himself

London (ANI): Popstar Robbie Williams has revealed that prior to making it big in the music business, he went through a rough 'drug' phase, so much so that he was on the verge of stabbing himself. The 'Rock DJ' hitmaker revealed on his blog, that he was a paranoid adolescent, and wouldn't dare pick the music on the pub jukebox in case someone didn't like it.

And thus, doing drugs with his mates caused him untold mental anguish. "It was at Shelleys (nightclub) where I had my first acid experience. We were in Golden Hill, in someone's kitchen probably. I was given a tiny piece of paper to ingest. E's were too expensive for the Potteries. 15 pounds, who could afford that? There was a band called the Prodigy performing that night and I thought they were really good," The Mirror quoted Robbie, as stating on his blog.

"Afterwards we drove up to the garage and the police were on the forecourt. S**t, I thought. I want to go home, I'm scared, and there is only one place I want to be at home with my mum. But even the safety of home proved little comfort for the hallucinating teenager," he added.

"American footballs were coming out of the TV," he recalls. So I decided to go downstairs and stab myself. Mum came out of her room and said, "what are you doing? I'm just going downstairs to stab myself 'do you want a cup of tea?' I said," Robbie stated.
