Washington (ANI): Scary Spice Melanie Brown has shot down reports that Spice Girls would be coming together for the final time to perform at former South African President Nelson Mandela's birthday. Reports were abuzz that the group was planning their last gig at Mandela's 90th birthday celebration concert in London's Hyde Park in June this year.

Moreover, Mel C had fuelled the rumours by remarking that they were great friends with Mr. Mandela and that they would love to perform for him again. However, Mel B has dismissed the reports, insisting that they have no such plans. "I don't think we are. I did hear about that and we're all big fans of Nelson Mandela but I don't think we're going to be doing that," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"I know we all have a lot of stuff going on. I know that I'm here (in Los Angeles) working probably until the end of the year. But I know I don't have a break. But he's a great guy. I can't believe he's 90," she added.
