Sugababes to boycott Brit award

By Staff

London (ANI): Pop band Sugababes has had it once and for all with UK's biggest music awards, who they claim have denied them 'recognition'. The London group, consisting of Keisha Buchanan, Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah, is yet to claim a major Brit award despite their six No.1 hits, two Guinness World Records, sale of 5.5 million albums, even a visit from Brit PM Gordon Brown.

"I'm proud that Gordon Brown is recognising us, but why not the Brits' We're British for God?s sake and we've done well. Surely we deserve an award after all the hard work we've done?" the Mirror quoted Keisha as saying. Amelle added: "I'm telling you, if they don't nominate us this year, that's it, I'm done. I'm not going.

"They should sack all those old men on the board and leave it to the fans to decide. They don?t know what they are talking about. Our song About You Now sold almost as many singles as Rihanna's Umbrella, yet she was up on-stage and we got no recognition."
