Winehouse’s rap attempt driving neighbours mad

By Super Admin

London (ANI): Singer Amy Winehouse might have made it big with her singing abilities, but when it comes to rapping, she is reaping disastrous results. During boozy late-night recording sessions at the studio in her North London home, Amy has been attempting to lay down hip-hop tracks.

And what is being heard is far from being music to the ears—the barely coherent singer slurs through a track that contains some mind-boggling wordplay, while her backing band, including singer Zalon, play drums and guitar.

She raps: "Listen. I can write ten raps a night, it don't matter but you know that it's tight. I will never wear my hair out unless I am with the best. Oh snap I never knew that. Well I know that I'm a Jew. Well, a Jewmaican. Anyway if you can, uh, smoke bacon, then, uh, I reckon that ah ah. I never knew that Zalon was so good at drums, it makes me feel dumb. You understand what I'm saying, and my boys be playing."

In fact, the 'Rehab" hitmaker"s late-night recording binges have irritated her neighbours. The singer is often up until 5am warbling, and locals have begun to complain. "They've asked her to keep it down a few times," The Sun quoted a source as saying.

"She has been complying by turning off amps and stopping playing the guitar after midnight but she has still been singing until silly o'clock. No one wants to fall out with her as it's quite a close community, but if it carries on they'll be taking it further," added the source.
