London, (ANI): Beleaguered R 'n' B star Chris Brown has said that the lawsuit for assault filed against him by a photographer is "frivolous", and aimed at obtaining a big payout. The Kiss Kiss singer has been sued by photographer Robert Rosen, who alleges that he was attacked by Brown's bodyguards in March when he attempted to take pictures of the star in a Los Angeles gym.
Rosen claims that he fell down a flight of stairs while Brown's bodyguards were chasing him. He is suing for damages on charges of assault, battery and false imprisonment. Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos, however, insists that Rosen's claims are baseless. "This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday," the Daily Express quoted him as saying. The pictures were clicked just weeks after Brown was arrested for reportedly beating girlfriend Rihanna during a fight on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February.
