Duffy walks away with three Brit gongs

London (ANI): Welsh singer Duffy triumphed Brit awards by scooping three gongs, including the British Album gong for her debut collection 'Rockferry'. The 24-year-old singer also won the British Female and Breakthrough Act award. After receiving the third album award, Duffy struggled to hold back her tears.

“I can't tell you what this means to me, thank you so much," the Sun quoted her as saying.

Girls Aloud pop group walked away with Best British Single gong for their hit The Promise. The British Male title went to 50-year-old former Jam front man Paul Weller, for 'The Modfather'. Kings Of Leon scooped two awards including the International Group and International Album for 'Only By The Night'.

Rapper Kanye West won International Male, while I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry went home with the International Female statuette.
