Jamie Lynn Spears calls off engagement

Washington, (ANI): Britney Spears" younger sister Jamie Lynn has reportedly cancelled her engagement with boyfriend Casey Aldridge, saying she is too young to marry. The Zoey 101 star, who is just 18 years old, had accepted Aldridge"s proposal last year while she was pregnant with their child.

"Casey proposed when Jamie turned 17. He gave her a gold band with numerous diamonds and one larger stone, but now she has given it back to him," Contactmusic quoted a friend as telling In Touch Weekly magazine.

Lynn, who is bringing up her daughter Maddie Briann, apparently wants to keep things as it is. The pal added: "Jamie wasn't ready to get married. It''s been more than enough for her to adjust to new motherhood for now."
