New
York
(ANI):
Rapper
Jay-Z,
who
is
disappointed
by
Chris
Brown's
alleged
attack
on
singer
Rihanna,
has
urged
people
to
sympathize
with
the
'Umbrella'
hitmaker.
Jay-Z,
who
helped
the
Barbados-born
star
carve
out
a
career
in
the
music
industry,
is
pushing
fans
to
think
of
her
like
a
close
one,
who
suffered
abuse.
"You
have
to
have
compassion
for
others,
Just
imagine
it
being
your
sister
or
mom
and
then
think
about
how
we
should
talk
about
that," the
New
York
Daily
News
quoted
him
as
telling
People
magazine.
Jay-Z
is
reportedly
livid
with
Brown
for
allegedly
attacking
Rihanna
after
a
pre-Grammy
party,
and
leaving
her
with
a
split
lip,
a
bloody
nose
and
bite
marks
on
her
hands.
He
urged
all
to
extend
their
support
to
Rihanna,
who
is
going
through
a
tough
time.
"I
just
think
we
should
all
support
her.
She's
going
through
a
tough
time.
You
have
to
realize
she's
a
young
girl,
as
well.
She's
very
young,"
Jay-Z
said.
When
asked
whether
Jay-z
has
met
the
injured
pop
star,
he
refused
to
comment.
"I
don't
want
to
go
into
it,"
Jay-Z
said.
