Joel Madden denies marrying Nicole Richie

Washington (ANI): Singer Joel Madden has rubbished reports that he and partner Nicole Ritchie have tied the knot in a secret ceremony. The Good Charlotte rocker has denied the reports on his band's website.

"I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn't get married," Usmagazine quoted Madden as saying. Last May, in an interview to CNN's Larry King Richie had said that they have no immediate plans to get married.

"I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that''s what you do," Richie had said. "We're going to do it when the time's right," she had added.
