Liam Gallagher brands brother Noel a fake

Washington (ANI): Oasis star Liam Gallagher has branded his brother and former bandmate Noel a 'fake' after he walked out of the group. In an interview with London's Evening Standard, the singer launched a furious broadside against his sibling, insisting Noel's friendship with funnyman Russell Brand took the edge off the guitarist's rock 'n' roll attitude.

And Liam is adamant his brother used their backstage bust-up at a festival in Paris, France earlier this year (09) as an excuse to leave the band.

"It wasn't a big thing for me.I've had bigger arguments with me (sic) toenails, you know what I mean? I think he just wanted out. He'd had enough of this lad thing, and he wants to try something new, and it's not having a dig at him, but I just think he's sort of turned himself into a f**king fake," Contactmusic quoted Liam as saying.

"You don't have 18 years of giving it all this, and then wash your hands of it and start going out with Russell Brand and all these new pals," he added.
