Macca's Las Vegas gig sells out in seven seconds

London (ANI): Sir Paul McCartney may have set a world record after selling out all the tickets for his upcoming gig in Las Vegas in an astonishing seven seconds, according to promoters. The former Beatles' performance at the opening of the New Joint at the Hardrock Hotel and Casino will be witnessed by 4,000 fans, reports The Telegraph.

Sales opened on February 14 for the April 19 gig and sold at a rate of almost 600 seats a second, said Concerts West. However, according to a spokeswoman for the Guinness Book of Records, there was no category for the rate of sale of tickets for a single gig.

British boyband Take That can claim the record for the fastest sell-out of a music tour when in November last year 600,000 tickets for their Circus tour sold out in four and a half hours.
