Marc Anthony now owns a American football team

Washington, (ANI): Latin singing sensation Marc Anthony, 40, has reportedly become a partial owner of American football team the Miami Dolphins. Known for his love of sports, Anthony has struck a deal with real estate entrepreneur Stephen Ross to become a minority owner. It may be recalled that Ross had paid one billion dollars to obtain 95 per cent stake in the franchise in January this year.

Anthony has not revealed the financial terms of the agreement, but he is convinced that his costly investment will be worthwhile, as he's already scoring points with wife Jennifer Lopez. "I'm a huge sports fan. These opportunities don't come around too often. It's quite an honour and a privilege to be able to sit here today saying that I'm a part-owner of an NFL (National Football League) team," Contactmusic quoted him as having told People.com.

"It would have probably been cheaper just to buy season tickets. We spoke for quite a while about his vision for the team and, like I said, it was just intoxicating. It was just a win-win for everybody involved. "Jennifer loves Miami. So she's really, really happy about this because we're going to be spending a lot of time down there," he added.
