Jackson family saw Michael Jackson in open casket

New York, (ANI): The night before late Michael Jackson"s public memorial, close family members had seen the King of Pop"s body in an open casket at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills, according to a relative.

"He looked like himself. He looked like he just was laying there sleeping," People magazine quoted David Fossett, 50, Jackson"s cousin, as saying. "He looked peaceful," Fossett added.

Fossett, who grew up with the 'Thriller" hitmaker, revealed that relatives gathered around the casket, 'talked to each other and cried'. "It was a somber mood. Even though he's this big entertainer, he's still our family," he added.

Talking about Jackson"s three kids Prince Michael Jackson 12, Paris Katherine Jackson 11, and Blanket 7, Fossett said: "They were sad. But the kids were comforting each other, holding each other's hands and hugging, and in turn were being supported by family. All of us were comforting each other."
