Morrissey cancels London gig due to ill health
London (ANI): Brit singer Steven Morrissey has fuelled rumours regarding his health after he cancelled his London tour. Morrissey, 49, a former 'The Smiths' member, had earlier scrap the first five U.S. dates of the tour in February after falling ill with a mystery ailment, which affected his voice.
Other two dates were cancelled before the tour moved to Europe, and now the star's run in the U.K. has come to a halt with the May 11 concert at London's Royal Albert Hall axed hours before show time. A source has revealed that shows in Birmingham and Great Yarmouth scheduled to be staged later this week are also in doubt.
"Event organisers would like to apologise to his fans for the disappointment but he is unable to perform and on doctor's orders has been told to rest," the Daily Express quoted a statement from gig promoters SJM Concerts as stating.
