Nick wants Mariah Carey to perform on AGT

Washington (ANI): Rapper Nick Cannon is persuading wife Mariah Carey to perform at America's Got Talent. Cannon has replaced Jerry Springer as the host on the new season, which kicked off in the U.S. earlier this week.

He insists viewers could get a superstar thrown in with the wannabe acts - hinting Carey may takeover the stage as she's a huge fan of the series. "They (people) keep asking me that - I don't know. It's a possibility. She loves the show," Contactmusic quoted Cannon as telling MTV.

"She has a hot new album coming out. It's the hottest show on TV so why wouldn't that work out? So hopefully the timing works out and she does get to come represent," he added.
