Topshop boss' lavish party on Cowell's Birthday

Washington (ANI): Topshop boss Sir Philip Green will reportedly throw a lavish party for TV mogul Simon Cowell on his 50th birthday next month. The billionaire retail giant and his wife Tanya are said to be preparing for the event. They are also said to have splashed out more than 750,00 dollars on the arrangements.

More than 400 guests have been invited, including Sir Elton John, Kevin Spacey, Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss. Green has also overseen the design of the invitations cards. "He has been very involved with planning the whole event, from overseeing the guest list to designing the invitations," Contactmusic quoted a friend as having told Britain's Mail.

“There will be a sit-down three-course meal with vintage champagne served throughout the evening. There will also be a free bar all night. Philip has said the drink is to flow freely and no expense is to be spared," the friend added.

Green had originally offered to fly Cowell and some friends to Las Vegas for a weekend, but a friend of Cowell insists he wanted to have all his friends and family around him. The party will be held on October 3 at Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire, south England.
