Sophie Ellis-Bextor do not like designer clothes

London (ANI): Singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor does not like going for designer clothes. However, she claims her worst buy this year has been a 1000-pound dress. “Generally speaking, I''m quite a frugal shopper, but when I first became successful I wanted to know what it felt like to buy a really expensive dress," the Telegraph quoted her as saying.

She added: “Designer clothes are usually wasted on me because I can get the same pleasure out of something that costs as little as 20 pounds, so I might as well go for the cheaper option. However, I bought this one for 1,000 pounds and I have never even worn it – its still got the label on. I don't really know why I did that except I just wanted to know what it felt like. Now I want to know what it feels like to have the money back."

She added: “I think I'm fairly good with money, but I've developed some strange tics – in shops I don't like to go to the counter unless I've got at least two things to buy. If I'm walking around with just one thing in my hand I''ll put it back and wait a few weeks because that doesn't seem like a proper purchase.

I don't know whether that's a good thing because it stops me spending money so frequently or a bad thing because when I do spend it I go home with more than I came out to buy."
