Peter Andre lands $1m deal to host UK chat show

Melbourne (ANI): Australian singer Peter Andre has landed a 1-million-dollar deal to host a one-hour chat show on UK's Channel 4. Andre, 37, will grill his celeb friends on the show, though to date he has refused producers' pleas to invite ex-wife Katie Price's new husband Alex Reid on to the show in what would be a certain ratings winner.

"He's a natural and is delighted that Channel 4 will give him free licence to grill his guests in an irreverent way," the Daily Telegraph quoted a source as telling the Daily Mirror newspaper in the UK.

"It will be a late-night format aimed at the 16 to 30s. So he won't have to mind his Ps and Qs and can have some fun in a series that's due to air in the late (Northern Hemisphere) summer," the source added.
